Derby County were beaten 5-3 by Coventry City in their second Championship game of the season on Saturday afternoon in a turbulent game at Pride Park.
Neither side came out of the clash looking overly strong defensively, and for the Rams it proved to be a major issue as they conceded three goals in seven minutes while leading 3-2, to lose the match.
It’s the first time that Coventry have won at Pride Park since 2003, with Frank Lampard tasting victory over his former club after he bemoaned the pitch following a 2-0 loss in March.
However, for Derby, it was a similar story to matchday one against Stoke City, with their opponents finding it far too easy to work their way down the flanks and get the ball into the box. Yet, there could be a solution to this issue.

Derby County must sign Max Johnston amid £2m update
The Rams have already had two bids rejected for Max Johnston, but last week it was revealed that the East Midlands outfit are preparing a third bid for the right-back.

Now, Alan Nixon has reported that the Scottish defender’s club, Sturm Graz, have told Derby to up their offer from £1.6m to £2m to be able to complete a deal.
The Rams are awaiting investment, but owner David Clowes does have a plan that has allowed John Eustace to spend relatively freely so far this summer and Johnston would be the next multi-million pound move amid a busy summer at Pride Park.
Nixon has also stated that an £18,000-a-week contract is on offer to Johnston, with his club preparing for Champions League qualifiers this week after they won the Austrian Bundesliga last season.

Ryan Nyambe is struggling in the Championship
Kane Wilson is slowly coming back to match fitness, but it will still be a few weeks until he starts becoming any sort of regular fixture at Derby and therefore Eustace is relying on Ryan Nyambe at right-back.

However, after suffering with injuries himself, the Namibia international is struggling for form and it seems as though opposition sides are targeting his flank when they attack.
Joe Ward may have expected to start against Coventry after his outstanding free kick against West Brom, but Eustace may have had fears over the ex-Peterborough United man playing too many minutes after coming back from injury.
Nevertheless, Johnston could be the answer to all these problems at Derby, and they must pay the £2m to get him in before it is too late.
