Coventry City will be celebrating a minor milestone in the club’s history this weekend when they take to the field to play QPR in the Championship.
The Sky Blues will celebrate their 20th anniversary of playing football at the Coventry Building Society Arena, and it is coincidental that they will be playing the same opposition they did in 2005.
QPR are the opponents that will help Coventry City bring in this milestone, with Frank Lampard hopeful his side can emulate the result from 20 years ago, as they beat the London club 3-0.
Ahead of the match, fans may be curious about who would win, with the stats pointing to Coventry City being the obvious winner for the fixture with QPR.
To ensure his side gets the victory, Lampard should bring a ‘dream’ player into the squad for the fixture against QPR.

Jamie Allen in, to replace Victor Thorp in midfield
Coventry City have made an unbeaten start to the Championship campaign and will look to continue this against QPR.
While there is significant interest in Bobby Thomas, and Frank Lampard may consider withdrawing him from the side, the options he has to do this are not of the same quality.
This interest in Thomas has seen Coventry explore options they can acquire, with the club setting their sights on Charlie Hughes from Hull City, with the Sky Blues now planning their next move after another rejected bid for the defender.
Lampard may be unwilling to change his side after their victory against Derby County; however, he may bring in Jamie Allen to shore up the midfield after they conceded three goals to the Rams.
Victor Thorp scored in that win over Derby and has been impressive; however, the qualities that Allen would bring to the side should see them secure all three points against QPR.

Frank Lampard is a huge fan of Jamie Allen
Lampard has had some players throughout his managerial career that have been pivotal on and off the pitch, and this seems to be the case for Jamie Allen.
Seamus Coleman is an example of a leader Lampard has leant on previously while at Everton, and now he seems to be doing the same with Allen at Coventry.
Speaking with Coventry Live in January, Lampard said: “Jamie is a player who is a bit of a dream to work with.

“He comes in, he loves his job, he doesn’t say much, and that’s his character, but he’s a good footballer with a good work ethic. He’s a great trainer, and I thought his performance, alongside Torpy, in midfield was really good in terms of the play and his diligence.
“That’s been really good because when you come in you’re trying to learn about players, and Jamie hadn’t played so much in the beginning on the back of an injury. Now, he is showing the experience and the qualities he can bring to the team.”
