Birmingham City fans have reacted to the loan signing of James Beadle
Birmingham City confirmed the signing of goalkeeper James Beadle from Brighton and Hove Albion on loan for the 2025/26 Championship season.
The Blues have been linked with a number of different signings, with the young keeper being one that has been confirmed, and fans have let their feelings be known about the latest acquisition.
One fan said: “He looked very nervy in goal last season, and after watching the U21s, I think he’s got worse.”
Another fan was sceptical of the loanee as they said: “I wish JB all the best; he has got some potential but is very raw and has lots of improving to do. I don’t personally get all the hype about him, though; he didn’t make me think he was destined for the very top. But, good luck.”
While there were those that were hopeful Beadle could be a useful addition to the team.
One fan said: “Watched all the under-21s games; played well every game; good signing.”
A fan from his former club, Sheffield Wednesday, believes he could be a good option for Davies; he said: “Good luck to him, still learning but very talented.”
The overall sentiment around the signing seems to be mixed; however, a lot of fans from the Blues seem to be pleased at the attention their club are receiving from other Championship sides.
One fan said: “Welcome the rest of the EFL and the growing obsession with everything Birmingham City. We welcome your clicks.”
