Birmingham City are being linked with a versatile Swiss international with just hours to go before the transfer window slams shut.
The Blues have had a busy summer, and are reportedly working on signing Sunderland winger Patrick Roberts on loan before 7pm on Monday.
Chris Davies and co. have had a bright start to the season, with their unbeaten start coming to an end against Leicester City on Friday night.
The Birmingham boss has expressed he needs recruits ‘in certain areas’ and the Blues are now being linked with a French second tier player that could help plug the holes in their squad.

Birmingham City interested in Becir Omeragic
According to French journalist, Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Birmingham are looking at Montpellier’s Becir Omeragic.
Negotiations with the seven-cap Swiss international have been described as ‘intense’ since the day began.
It’s understood Montpellier will not block the player’s move, after he was relegated to Ligue 2 with them last term after the French side finished rock bottom of Ligue 1.
The defender has been with Montpellier since 2023 after he signed from Zurich after five years with the Swiss team.
Despite having a relegation on his CV, reports from France claim the 23-year-old was one of La Paillade’s best players during the campaign.
What Birmingham City fans can expect from Becir Omeragic
The former Zurich player has been deployed at centre-back and in midfield during his career – much like Birmingham’s former captain, Krystian Bielik.
Standing at 6ft 2in, Omeragic scored a header against Red Star to make it 1-1 in his side’s first league game of the season.
He made his Switzerland debut in 2020 in a friendly against Croatia and has earned six more caps since.
Omeragic was called up to Euro 2020, though he didn’t make any appearances at the tournament. He did win the Swiss top flight a year later, though.
His role in Zurich’s team earned him a move to France. He has played 58 games for Montpellier since, scoring twice in that time.
