There have been plenty of incomings and outgoings at Blackburn Rovers this summer, but Valerien Ismael may well let one more player leave the club today.
It may feel like most of Blackburn Rovers’ summer has been dominated by players jumping ship to join former manager John Eustace at Derby County.
But, it’s worth remembering there has been some very impressive summer signings for Blackburn Rovers, too.
The arrival of Ryoya Morishita, in particular, could be a real coup, and it may well have led to another Rovers man having to make way in the squad now.

Makhtar Gueye attracts interest from Aberdeen
We knew Valerien Ismael had a plan for Blackburn Rovers on transfer deadline day, but it came as something of a surprise when a report from Alan Nixon suggested Makhtar Gueye could leave the Lancashire club and head North of the border.
Nixon claims Aberdeen are looking to make a “shock move” for the Rovers striker, with a view to taking the 27-year-old on loan for the season.
Gueye has seen his game time reduced this season as there is now “growing competition” in Ismael’s squad for first-team action.
The Senegalese striker scored eight goals and added six assists in 48 games in all competitions last season for Blackburn.

Blackburn Rovers transfer window in review
While the Venky’s have rarely invested in Blackburn Rovers, it has been an unusually busy transfer window for the club this summer.
They’ve now spent just under £9m on the likes of Morishita, Andri Gudjohnsen, Sidnei Tavares, Lewis Miller, and Dion De Neve.
Obviously, losing players like Tyrhys Dolan, Callum Brittain, and Lewis Travis was always going to hurt Blackburn. But, there’s no denying that they’ve recruited well to replace them, and Ismael arguably now has a much deeper, stronger squad overall.
The signing of Sean McLoughlin from Hull City, in particular, could prove to be a very smart move as an upgrade on the departing Danny Batth. Only time will tell if Blackburn have done the right things in the market, but on paper, it looks good for Ismael.
