They were one of the busiest clubs this summer, so let’s round up every incoming and outgoing at Blackburn Rovers in the latest transfer window.
After a shaky start under Valerien Ismael, we’ve seen Blackburn Rovers steady the ship over the past few months despite turbulence in the transfer market.
Rovers lost a slew of highly-experienced players this summer, with most of them following John Eustace to Derby County.
However, there’s been some smart recruitment along the way and lots of new faces for fans to get excited about. So, here’s every incoming and outgoing at Blackburn Rovers this summer.

Confirmed Blackburn Rovers transfers in
Ismael oversaw quite the overhaul at Blackburn this summer, be it out of necessity or a desire to shake things up.
Rovers started the window fairly slowly, actually, with Dion De Neve and Sidnei Tavares coming in early on in the summer.
However, when player exits started to ramp up, Ismael wasted no time in replacing those he had lost.
Ryoya Morishita is an exciting addition, after a free-scoring stint in Poland. Meanwhile, Moussa Baradji came in to replace Lewis Travis.
However, it’s the arrival of defender Sean McLoughlin that could be the best bit of business Blackburn have done. The former Hull City man came pretty cheap at £500,000 and fills a massive gap in the Rovers defence.
Players Blackburn Rovers have signed this summer:
- Dion de Neve (£635,000, from KV Kortrijk)
- Sidnei Tavares (£1.73m, from Moreirense)
- Andri Gudjohnsen (£1.85m, from KAA Gent)
- Ryoya Morishita (£1.8m, from Legia Warsaw)
- Axel Henriksson (£745,000, from GAIS)
- Lewis Miller (£745,000, from Hibernian)
- Ryan Alebiosu (£500,000, from KV Kortrijk)
- Sean McLoughlin (£500,000, from Hull City)
- Taylor Gardner-Hickman (Loan, from Birmingham City)
- Moussa Baradji (Loan, from Yverdon Sport)
Overall, Blackburn spent around £8.5m this summer, which places them around the middle of the Championship spending charts.

Every Blackburn Rovers departure this summer
There were lots of outgoings at Blackburn this summer. In fact, 14 players left the club over the last few months, including some massive names.
Callum Brittain refused to play at one point before joining Middlesbrough, while star man Tyrhys Dolan joined Espanyol on a free transfer.
More recently, the big transfer story was all about Lewis Travis, who pushed for a move to Derby County. Meanwhile, John Buckley went to Saudi Arabia in a £1m deal.
On deadline day, the club also sold defender Dom Hyam to Wrexham for what is thought to have been a fee of around £2.5m.
Every player leaving Blackburn Rovers this summer:
- John Buckley (£1m to Al-Kholood)
- Joe Rankin-Costello (£750,000 to Charlton Athletic)
- Tyrhys Dolan (Free, to Espanyol)
- Andreas Weimann (Free, to Derby County)
- Dilan Markanday (Free, to Chesterfield)
- Danny Batth (Free, to Derby County)
- Jalil Saadi (Free, to Ethnikos)
- Jordan Eastham (Free, to Ashton United)
- Lewis Travis (Undisclosed fee, to Derby County)

- Harry Leonard (Undisclosed fee, to Peterborough)
- Connor O’Riordan (Loan, to Doncaster Rovers)
- Jack Barrett (Loan, to Tranmere Rovers)

With the undisclosed fee for Lewis Travis, it’s hard to know how much Blackburn Rovers earned in player sales this summer but we’d estimate it at anywhere between £10-11m.
