Lewis Travis has been the subject of much transfer speculation during the 2025 summer window.
Wrexham were keen on Lewis Travis earlier in the window, but they have since signed two new midfielders in Lewis O’Brien and Bolton Wanderers’ former captain, George Thomason.
A host of Championship clubs were linked to Travis, including the likes of Middlesbrough and Birmingham City.
More recently, it has been reported that Derby County are targeting Travis, and they have now stepped up their pursuit of the midfielder.

Derby County bid for Blackburn Rovers’ Lewis Travis
Blackburn are taking on Bradford City in a Carabao Cup clash on Tuesday evening.
Travis is with the squad for the tie despite the Rams submitting a bid for him.
The Lancashire Telegraph reports that the Derbyshire outfit have sent a £1.5m bid for the midfielder.
However, Blackburn have rejected it as it falls short of their asking price for Travis, who is now in the final year of his contract.
What Valerien Ismael has said about Blackburn Rovers transfers
Blackburn have already seen several players leave Ewood Park this summer.
Callum Brittain joined Middlesbrough and made his competitive debut for the Teessiders in a 1-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday.
Andreas Weimann has returned to Derby County, and Danny Batth joined the Rams as well.
Manager Valerien Ismael has commented on Blackburn transfers this week and made it clear that any buying club must pay the right price.
He said: “Nothing has shifted, the situation is very clear from our situation. We had three options. Either we extend the contract of the players; this was not possible, we tried.
“We can sell the player if we think the value is right. We are happy for the players to stay with us. The Callum Brittain deal showed exactly how to deal with the situation.
“The (buying) club thought we can get the player for cheap and that we’d be happy with any amount. No, if you are coming for our players, we understand but you have to pay the right price for us to reinvest again in the transfer market.
“This is our way and we are clear on that. It is the same for all our players who have one year on their contract.”
