Blackburn Rovers completed their transfer business before the close of deadline day, with the club now being unable to bring in any more players until January.
However, they can still lose some of their stars, as markets are still open in other parts of the world, and rumours have started in Turkey that one Blackburn Rovers player may be on his way out of Ewood Park in the coming days.
Turkish Super Lig sides can still conduct business until September 12, which means Blackburn could remain vulnerable to this player leaving should the offer meet the demands of Rovers, and Valerien Ismael is happy to let him go.
Now it remains to be seen if this rumour has any substance and whether Blackburn will lose their star.
Kocaelispor interested in Makhtar Gueye
It is being reported in Turkish media on social media that Kocaelispor are making moves to sign Makhtar Gueye from Blackburn Rovers before the close of their transfer deadline day.
There is a belief that ‘significant progress’ has been made so far in the discussions between the two clubs, with it expected that the player will not be a Blackburn player for much longer.
It had been exclusively revealed by EFL Analysis early in the summer transfer window that Gueye would be leaving Blackburn Rovers, so this deal is not surprising.
The only surprise is how late the deal is coming, with there being no chance to sign a replacement; however, it is not believed that Ismael may see a need to bring in a replacement.

Blackburn Rovers have depth at striker
Valerien Ismael has spoken about the change of transfer policy for Blackburn Rovers as they look to invest in young players and develop talents from the youth academy.
Yūki Ōhashi appears to be the first-choice striker for Ismael at Rovers; however, he also has a few other options, including youth prospect Igor Tyjon.

Blackburn have also acquired Andri Gudjohnsen this summer and have seemingly brought a ‘diamond’ to their squad.
The Japanese striker is the only experienced option from those who would remain should Gueye leave, with both Tyjon and Gudjohnsen limited in this department, despite the Icelandic international being a 34-cap player.
