Luton Town’s nightmare 2024/25 campaign will be replaying itself in the minds of all supporters this summer, and work is needed quickly to ensure that they fight back in League One.
The Hatters were relegated on the final day of the season, with a 5-3 loss away to West Bromwich Albion seeing them drop into the third tier for the first time since 2019 and now Matt Bloomfield has a huge task on his hands to turn the club’s fortunes around.
Back-to-back relegations have seen Luton drop the Premier League to League One in the space of just two years, and in that time there has been plenty of player turnover as they change divisions but now the job of keeping hold of key players becomes even tougher.
The Hatters’ chairman is still hopeful for the future, but in the short-term his club could be hit hard by players seeking moves elsewhere, including the goalkeeper.

Luton Town’s Thomas Kaminski wants a Championship move
As first reported by Alan Nixon, Thomas Kaminski is looking for a move away from the Bedfordshire outfit after their relegation, and he is determined to stay in England.

The Belgian shot-stopper played all but one game in the Championship last season, only missing out after he was sent off against Portsmouth in the first few weeks of the campaign.
With the summer transfer window now open, Nixon said: “Keeper Thomas Kaminski wants to stay in English football – despite interest in his Belgian homeland.
“Kaminski starred for Luton over the last two seasons but now wants to avoid League One after a couple of relegations. Luton will want a decent fee for Kaminski and he hopes to find a Championship home where he can play.”

Thomas Kaminski may find it tough to get a move quickly
After such a dismal season last time out, Kaminski will be low on confidence heading into the summer and a fresh start will be a great desire of his.
Wrexham are looking busy already, with Tom Cairney on their radar, while the departing West Ham United left-back, Aaron Cresswell, is also a target.
Although they have Arthur Okonkwo, competition will be good for the former Arsenal youngster, and a move for Kaminski could be the perfect way for the Red Dragons to start their summer following back-to-back-to-back promotions.
Luton know that the likes of Thelo Aasgaard will be of interest to other clubs, and with Kaminski also now looking likely to depart, it could be a tough few months ahead for the Hatters.
