Chris Wilder is set to be appointed as the new Sheffield United manager for a third time.

The Blades sacked Ruben Selles and immediately turned to the fan favourite, who is expected to be confirmed imminently.

Wilder has already taken training ahead of the announcement but knows how hard the task will be after Opta gave Sheffield United slim hopes of promotion.

Any new faces to the squad will have to wait until January, but it seems that plans are already being made.

Sheffield United want to take Brighton loanee away from Bolton Wanderers

According to Alan Nixon in his latest Patreon column, the Blades are considering making an approach for winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.

The England youth international is currently on loan at League One side Bolton Wanderers, where Brighton & Hove Albion have allowed him to spend the season.

Cozier-Duberry has been excellent for Bolton and scored a stunning last-minute winner against Leyton Orient recently.

Would Amario Cozier-Duberry be eligible to play for Sheffield United?

FIFA and EFL rules state that players can play for a maximum of two clubs per season.

As Cozier-Duberry hasn’t represented Brighton in this campaign, if Bolton were to recall him and let him move to Bramall Lane in January, he would be eligible.

January is the earliest this deal could take place, not matter if the deal is permanent or on loan.
