Derby County are back from Austria and preparing for their third pre-season game of the summer.
The Rams defeated Club World Cup side RB Salzburg on Friday evening, with goals from Corey Blackett-Taylor and Kayden Jackson handing the team a 2-1 win.
It’s going to be an exciting season for the East Midlands outfit, with Patrick Agyemang the latest recruit. However, the USA international will be out for the first few weeks of the campaign as he undergoes an operation to correct a hernia.
Nevertheless, with Carlton Morris ready to take on the challenge of being the starting striker, John Eustace may not even have to worry about that issue. Yet, on Monday evening, another problem, this time involving Ebou Adams, arose.
Derby County fans do not want to see Ebou Adams leave
Derby may have a plan for Adams this season, with the once defensive midfielder now playing in a more advanced role. However, his performances last season have attracted the attention of several Championship clubs according to Pete O’Rourke.

Despite this, BBC Radio Derby’s Dominic Dietrich has shed light on the Rams’ stance, with it looking unlikely that the 29-year-old will leave. But there are still doubts after the club said similar about Eiran Cashin in January.
Another said: “Depends what the bid is, if any. Every player has his price. Good thing is Derby are in a strong position nowadays and wouldn’t need to take pittance like in the past.”
While a third Derby fan wrote: “We said Cashin wasn’t for sale then he went for a good offer. So it all depends on money.”
For others, there was delight at this update: “Thanks for clearing that up so quickly!”
As a sixth Rams supporter put: “Heartbeat of the team.”

Ebou Adams is crucial to the Rams’ season
The Rams want to bring Harrison Armstrong back this summer, as per Darren Witcoop, and it is crucial they sign at least two more midfielders with the team still light in that department.
Therefore, it seems extremely unlikely that Adams will be sold before the transfer window shuts on 1 September, with the Gambia international a crucial player at Derby.
He is the club’s captain and has been a focal point for both Paul Warne and now Eustace. The 29-year-old is also a fans’ favourite, and losing him would be tough to take for those in the stands at Pride Park.
