Rather than just focusing on the biggest stories in the Championship, we’ve decided to look at the entire Football League with our latest EFL transfer round-up.

Obviously, the Championship has the bigger names and the bigger price tags most of the time. But, the English Football League doesn’t get any less interesting the further down you go.

Our Championship transfer round-up for the weekend covered the likes of Josh Windass’ impending move to Wrexham and Norwich City’s hopes of landing two new signings.

But, teams in League One are busy assembling squads capable of breaching the second tier. Meanwhile, those in League Two are desperate to climb the ladder.

So, here are all the top rumours from the 72 teams with our EFL transfer round-up.

The biggest transfer stories in the Championship

We begin with a look at Leicester City, who are set to lose Mads Hermansen to West Ham. The goalkeeper spoke to the Hammers recently and has told the Foxes he wants to go. Asmir Begovic is likely to replace him at Leicester.

Former Sheffield Wednesday man Michael Smith is close to joining Preston North End. Paul Heckingbottom admires the 33-year-old and a medical is thought to have taken place already.

Meanwhile, Hull City are selling Steven Alzate to Atlanta United in the MLS. Sheffield United were keen but he’s chosen to go to America.

Elsewhere, Stoke City continue to lose players, with Wouter Burger poised to join Hoffenheim for just £3.5-4.3m. Sol Sidibe is also leaving, with a move to PSV Eindhoven in the offing.

And finally, Ashley Young will join Ipswich Town on a free transfer. Watford had hoped to bring him back to Vicarage Road, but wage demands got in the way.

EFL transfer round-up: League One’s biggest stories

Huddersfield Town are building a League One super squad, with Alfie May their latest target. It’s thought a £1.3m move from Birmingham City is on the cards.

Plymouth are doing their best to bounce back to the Championship at the first time of asking, too. Argyle are in for Rumarn Burrell, but a bid of nearly £1m has been rejected.

Elsewhere in the third tier, we’re told Cardiff City hope to keep Callum Robinson. However, the Bluebirds may find that more and more difficult as the transfer window goes on.

EFL transfer round-up: League Two’s biggest stories

Our EFL transfer round-up concludes with a look at League Two. MK Dons are the team to beat down there, and they’ll be shoo-ins for the title if their pursuit of Steven Fletcher comes good. The former Wrexham man is a free agent.

Meanwhile, Salford City are hoping to loan Matty Young from Sunderland again. The young goalkeeper was with the League Two outfit last season, and the Black Cats have said he can go back in 2025/26.

Finally, Richie Smallwood has signed for Tranmere Rovers. Smallwood left Bradford City on a sour note, but it’s great to see him pick up a new club ahead of the coming campaign.
