Blackburn Rovers’ Callum Brittain is hot property this summer transfer window, with two clubs battling for his signature.
The full-back refused to play against Accrington Stanley in Rovers’ pre-season friendly victory last week.
Valerin Ismael has made his view clear on the future of Callum Brittain at the club after this decision by the full-back not to make an appearance in the fixture.
Middlesbrough had reportedly made an offer for the Blackburn full-back already; however, it did not reach their valuation of Brittain.
And now it appears Derby County have joined the race for Brittain.

Derby County join Middlesbrough in race for Callum Brittain
EFL Analysis’ transfer expert, Graeme Bailey, has revealed that Derby County have met Blackburn’s asking price for Callum Brittain.
It is understood an overall deal worth around £3million including add-ons has been agreed.
Middlesbrough, who as we revealed, have had one bid rejected, are expected to match Derby’s offer.
Brittain will be the fourth ex-Blackburn player Derby County manager John Eustace will have signed this summer.
He would join a list including Danny Batth and Andi Weimann, who have already signed, and Owen Beck who is set to join on loan from Liverpool and whom he worked with on loan at Blackburn last season.

Blackburn are targeting Luton player as Brittain replacement
Bailey has also revealed that Blackburn are targeting Luton Town’s Isaiah Jones as a possible replacement for Brittain.
For Luton, he made 17 Championship appearances, scoring 2 goals. He also featured in cup competitions for the Hatters last term.
He is an attacking winger with fast pace, and someone who Blackburn would happily take on board if Brittain’s departure occurs as expected.
His direct style and crossing ability would be beneficial for Blackburn, offering a potent wide option to create chances.
