Leicester City are fighting to keep hold of some of their key players in the final days of the transfer window.
The Foxes are interested in Calvin Stengels, but they will only pursue a deal for the Feyenoord winger if Bilal El Khannouss leaves the club.
It’s been a slightly frustrating summer for those at the King Power Stadium, and the squad is still lacking quality in key areas as Marti Cifuentes looks to mark his first season in charge of the East Midlands outfit with promotion.
Now, they are facing significant interest from local rivals Nottingham Forest for a defender who is yet to feature for Leicester this season.

Nottingham Forest make advance for Leicester City’s Victor Kristiansen
Victor Kristiansen has been on the radar of the Europa League side throughout the summer, but with the transfer window coming to a close on the 1 September, their interest has stepped up.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are ‘in talks’ with Leicester over a deal for the Danish left-back, after a potential deal was touted back in July.
The 22-year-old made 30 Premier League appearances for the Foxes last season, registering one assist as his side were relegated back to the Championship following promotion just a year earlier.
Kristiansen joined Leicester from Copenhagen in January 2023 for a fee that BBC Sport reported to be £17m, signing a contract until the summer of 2028.

Brendan Rodgers expected great things from Victor Kristiansen
It’s been a strange couple of years for the Denmark international since he made the switch to England, and he has missed out on the success that the King Power Stadium saw during the late 2010s and early 2020s.
Following relegation to the Championship in 2023, Kristiansen joined Serie A side Bologna on loan before returning to Leicester in the Premier League. Once again, it looks as though dropping to the second tier is not in his plans.

For Brendan Rodgers, the manager who brought him to the Foxes, a move back to the top flight may not come as a surprise as he gave a rave review of him on his arrival.
He said (via: BBC Sport): “We’re delighted to have him, and he’s not just for now but for the future. He’s a very bright boy and has shown up very well.”
“He’s behind a little bit [following the 2022 World Cup], so we’ll see what game time he can get.”
