Birmingham City are looking to strengthen their squad going into their first season back in the Championship.
The Blues can officially sign players from June 1, and a host of names are already being tipped to make a move to St Andrew’s.
Birmingham City are targeting promotion to the Premier League in 2025/26 despite only just returning to the second tier following a prolific season in League One.
The Midlands outfit are putting in place an ‘aggressive’ transfer strategy to achieve their goal and have already confirmed the signing of Phil Neumann.
Now, an update on one of their many targets has emerged this week.

How Swansea City feel about keeping Birmingham City target Harry Darling
It was reported earlier in May that Birmingham want to sign Harry Darling from Swansea City.
The centre-back, who is earning £1m-a-year or £19,231-a-week as per Capology, is set to be out of contract next month.
Birmingham are offering at least £30k-a-week to new signings, so they should be able to give him an improved deal.
Now, Wales Online have shared an update on the situation this week.
It’s claimed that Swansea chiefs understood that Darling is likely considering offers from elsewhere, with Birmingham mentioned as an interested party.
However, it’s thought that ‘there is still some hope’ the stopper pens fresh terms in Wales.

What Harry Darling has said about Swansea City future
Darling joined Swansea from MK Dons back in 2022 for around £2m.
He’s featured 112 times for them, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists.
The defender commented on his long-term future early in the 2024/25 season, as per BBC Sport.
He said: “Me and my girlfriend had our first baby here so Swansea is always going to be a special place for us.
“It’s something I don’t really get involved in. I focus on my football and I am sure that will take care of itself – I am football first and we will see what happens.”
