Former Sheffield United forward Oli McBurnie is still available this summer, although one Championship outfit are currently winning the race for his services.
Following Sheffield United’s drop down to the Championship in the 2023/24 season, Scottish forward Oli McBurnie took a left-field route in his career, joining La Liga outfit Las Palmas.
The 29-year-old suffered yet another relegation, this time with the Spanish side, however still endured a respectable campaign in La Liga, notching three goals and six assists, and he notably featured in a famous 2-1 away win at Barcelona.
Now, McBurnie is a free agent and a return to the Championship is on the top of his list of priorities. Considering the ability he has shown in the English second-tier, several clubs have been made aware of his desire to return, and it now looks like his former club are winning the race for his signature.

It was previously reported that McBurnie was keen to join Hull City, who have also shown interest in attaining the forward, however the contract demands may have hampered the Tigers, who are undergoing financial concerns this summer.
Swansea City are supposedly willing to offer McBurnie a three-year deal, which could be the difference between them edging Hull City in the race to sign their former superstar. However, Ipswich Town are a team to look out for, who have the funds available for a Championship forward following the sale of Liam Delap.
