Leicester City are aware that they need to see several of their players depart the club; however, they are unwilling to let their prized assets leave the club, as they recognise they are required to help them battle for promotion.

It is a tough juggling act for the new manager Marti Cifuentes to try and perform with Leicester City already losing Mads Hermansen to West Ham.

Leeds United have been linked with a deal to sign Bilal El Khannouss from Leicester City, with EFL Analysis exclusively revealing what it would take for the Whites sign him from the Foxes.

While Leeds seem keen on bringing the Foxes’ talisman to Elland Road, there is another player the Yorkshire outfit appear to be chasing from Leicester City now.

Leeds United in ‘advanced talks’ about James Justin

Daniel Farke appears to be looking to add some further reinforcements to the Leeds United squad ahead of the closure of the transfer window on September 1.

Leeds are reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ to sign James Justin from Leicester City this summer, as reported by Alex Crook and Ben Jacobs on social media.

The decision to sign Justin from Leicester would indicate that Leeds are targeting defensive reinforcements ahead of the Premier League campaign, understanding the world-class ability they will face in the division.

That is all the information that has been posted so far on the deal between the clubs; however, it may appear likely to happen due to the need for Leicester City to sell some of their squad.

Brendan Rodgers believes James Justin is a ‘fantastic talent’

While in charge of Leicester City, James Justin was a favourite of the now Celtic boss, proving to be a reliable option at full-back.

Brendan Rodgers tipped Justin to become an England international under Gareth Southgate, who was coaching the full-back, with the Northern Irishman proving to be right as he has made one international appearance at the time of writing, playing in the Nations League against Hungary in 2022.

Speaking to the Telegraph, Rodgers said: “JJ is getting better with every game that he plays and with the experience he is gaining.

“He is a fantastic talent. He is working very hard, and he still has a lot of work to do, but at 22 years of age, he is developing very, very well.”
