Leicester City fans have endured a frustrating summer transfer window with plenty of outgoings and not a lot coming the other way. But, the Foxes have just landed a very exciting player indeed.
After their dismal display in the Premier League, Leicester City were relegated back to the Championship. Worse yet, they knew they had to do it all without Jamie Vardy after the legendary striker decided to end his time at the club.
Since then, Leicester City have changed manager and Marti Cifuentes has had to watch as the likes of Mads Hermansen, Wilfred Ndidi, and Kasey McAteer have left the Foxes for pastures new.
All the while, Leicester have still been searching for a new striker to lead their line, but the wait is finally over.

Julian Carranza is Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy replacement
Over the weekend, it emerged that Leicester were looking to sign Julian Carranza from Feyenoord. At the same time, Vardy had chosen his next destination, opting to join Italian side Cremonese.
Thankfully, Leicester have managed to get a deal over the line to bring Carranza to the King Power Stadium.
The Argentine striker arrives on a season-long loan deal, despite original assumptions that he would join permanently. While many suspect there is a purchase clause in the agreement, that is not confirmed at this stage.
Carranza becomes the latest in a line of recent Argentinian talent to pull on a Leicester shirt, including cult hero Esteban Cambiasso, Premier League-winner Leonardo Ulloa, and last season’s loanee, Facundo Buonanotte.

Julian Carranza’s first words upon joining Leicester City
Speaking for the first time after becoming the latest Leicester City signing this summer, Carranza discussed how he quickly decided he wanted to make the move and suggested he has followed Leicester’s progress for a while.
He said: “I’m really happy and really excited to be here. I’m thankful for this opportunity so I cannot wait to get started. When the opportunity came up, of course I didn’t have any single doubt about it. We all know what Leicester City is as a team, and as an institution as well, so when the opportunity came, I was really excited for it.
“I have some experience in different places. Of course, this is a new experience as well. Everyone wants to play in England. Every single player wants to play here, so I’m really excited and I can’t wait to get started.
“I’ve been watching Leicester for a long time so, as I said, I know the team, I know the institution as well. We all know around the world what this team is. When the opportunity came up, I had no doubts about it.”
Now, we just wait and see whether Carranza can live up to the hype and come anywhere near replicating the kind of impact Vardy and/or his Argentine compatriots had at Leicester City.
