The eventuality of losing both Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent this summer is something that many at Norwich City are aware of.
Liam Manning has a substantial transfer kitty, and signings have already been made by the Canaries but there will be worries over the likelihood of losing two key players.
Sargent has been targeted by Leeds United, and the American will be wanting to play at the highest level he can ahead of next summer’s World Cup in his home country.
However, a fresh update regarding Sainz has claimed that his next destination looks to be settled, and the Spaniard may not be playing for Athletic Bilbao – despite their past interest.

Porto close in on Norwich City, Borja Sainz deal
According to a report from Portuguese outlet Record, FC Porto are leading the way for the talented winger.

After rejecting a €15m (£12.95m) bid last month, a fee over that has been touted, with bonuses also set to be included if the two clubs and the player come to an agreement.
Sainz has just a year left on his contract at Norwich and there will be worries that he walks away on a free next summer and getting such a substantial offer is a huge positive for Manning.
Porto finished third in the Liga Portugal last season, and they will feature in the Europa League in 2025/26, something that will be highly attractive for the 24-year-old ahead of the potential move.

Finding a Borja Sainz replacement is tough but not impossible
Norwich have already signed Jacob Wright, but bringing in a player who will score as frequently as Sainz from that left flank will be difficult.
Nevertheless, the Canaries should pounce and sign Louie Barry after his move to Hull City broke down because the Tigers were handed a three-window transfer ban.

While one restriction has been eased on the East Yorkshire side, some of their targets will be available to others now and Barry is one of those who must make the switch to Carrow Road as Manning looks to ease the pain of potentially losing a key star in his team.
