It could be a busy summer at Deepdale, with Paul Heckingbottom having his first summer transfer window at the Lancashire club since being appointed manager as he aims to refresh the environment. So, here are all the confirmed Preston North End transfers so far.
The Preston squad has remained relatively similar over the past few seasons under Ryan Lowe, and so Heckingbottom will look to refresh the club.
A rejuvenation of the squad may be what is needed for the Lancashire club after their end to last season, as they faced the prospect of being relegated to League One on the final day.
However, they maintained their status in the Championship, and Heckingbottom will look to shape their squad to be able to maximise his tactical approach.
The summer transfer window is now open, briefly, and will open again later this month for the full pre-season period as normal.
With players coming in already and plenty set to depart, here’s a rundown of all the confirmed Preston North End transfers so far.
Confirmed Preston North End transfers in
Preston moved quickly to sign Jordan Thompson on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract from Stoke City.
The Lancashire club also secured the services of a former loanee, Daniel Iversen, who was available for a free transfer once his contract expired with Leicester City.
A third signing soon followed as Preston announced the acquisition of Pol Valentin from Sheffield Wednesday, again on a free transfer, following expiry of his contract this summer.
Within a number of days, Preston confirmed their fourth signing of the summer, Thierry Small, a League One play-off hero for Charlton Athletic on a free transfer.

Every Preston North End departure this summer
Two players have officially announced they have left Preston this summer, as Huddersfield Town confirmed the signature of Ryan Ledson upon the expiration of his contract at the end of June.
Layton Stewart is the other player to depart the club, with the striker moving to FC Thun for an undisclosed fee.
We also know at least six players will be released at the end of the month when they become free agents.
Long-serving senior players Emil Riis, Freddie Woodman and Patrick Bauer will all be let go. Youngsters Kian Best, Kian Taylor and Josh Seary will join them.
