QPR have been busy in the transfer market ahead of the new Championship season, leading to many believing they could be dark horses for the play-off race.
The London side have done some impressive business already, notably signing Kwame Poku, managing to edge ahead of Rangers in the race for the former Peterborough star, whilst they have also brought in Reading ace Amadou Mbengue.
These signings display an intent to move the club forward from its 15th-place finish in the Championship last season, particularly under new boss Julien Stephan.
While these signings have been impressive, there will have to be departures too; however, it has been notable that none of the departures have reached the levels of the record sales QPR have previously done.
EFL Analysis brings the five most expensive sales the club have ever made in the history of the club, according to Transfermarkt.
5. Matt Phillips – £5.6 million
The Scotland international joined QPR after impressing for Blackpool in the Premier League and then carrying this form into two further Championship campaigns.
Matt Phillips would spend three seasons at QPR, impressing again at both the Championship and Premier League levels as he scored 14 goals across 94 matches.
This would earn him a move to the Premier League outfit, West Brom, and he would be a loyal servant at the club for eight seasons after his £5.6 million move from London.
Phillips would play a total of 255 matches for the Baggies and score 31 goals before joining Oxford United.
4. Les Ferdinand – £8.2 million
The QPR legend spent eight seasons at the club after joining from Hayes for £50,000 in the non-league, and he would go on to have a stellar career.
Across his time with QPR in the First Division and the Premier League, Ferdinand would score 90 goals in 184 appearances before making the move to Newcastle United for a fee of £8.2 million.

The England striker was brought in for this substantial fee to help Newcastle win the Premier League title under Kevin Keegan; however, they could not manage it.
Following his retirement from football, Ferdinand would return to the club, with his most notable role being director of football between February 2015 and June 2023.
3. Christopher Samba – £10 million
The central defender signed for QPR for a significant fee, as he was brought in to help stave off relegation in the 2012/13 season from Anzhi Makhachkala for £12.5 million.
Chris Samba would only play half a season at the club, resulting in 10 appearances and a relegation.

He would leave soon after for a fee of £10 million to return to Russia with Anzhi Makhachkala.
2. Loic Remy – £11.4 million
The French international would be contracted to the club for two seasons, spending the second on loan at Newcastle United, as QPR had been relegated to the Championship.
It was expected he would return and play for QPR in the Premier League if the London side won promotion from the Championship; however, when they did, Loic Remy opted to move to rivals Chelsea.

Remy would only feature in 16 matches for QPR across his time at the club, scoring six goals before leaving for a fee of £11.4 million to Chelsea.
1. Eberechi Eze – £15.4 million
The England international was an incredible bit of business from QPR, who signed him after his release from Millwall as a youth, noticing the talent he had in abundance.
Eberechi Eze would spend four seasons with the club before Crystal Palace would acquire the attacking midfielder for a fee of £15.4 million.
In the blue and white hoops of QPR, Eze played in 112 matches, scoring 20 goals.
The fee Crystal Palace paid for him in August 2020 makes Eze the most expensive sale QPR have ever made in their history.
