Rob Edwards has now commented on the future of one Middlesbrough player this week.
EFL Analysis first revealed earlier in August that Middlesbrough would let Rav van den Berg go amid interest from Feyenoord and FC Koln.
It has now been reported that Boro have agreed a deal with Koln for the Dutchman.
Van den Berg is departing after two seasons at the Riverside Stadium, but he’s not the only player who could leave this summer.

Rob Edwards comments on Middlesbrough transfer
As we have already covered, Middlesbrough were willing to let Hayden Hackney leave for Ipswich Town.
Hackney rejected that move, but his future remains uncertain this summer.
Away from the Boro midfielder, Rob Edwards has now been asked about the future of Micah Hamilton.
Middlesbrough signed the winger from Manchester City last summer for around £3.5m, with the Sky Blues having a buy-back clause worth somewhere in the region of £11m, as per Fabrizio Romano.
After 16 appearances for the Teessiders, Hamilton was sent out on loan to Stockport County in the second half of last season.
However, as per the Northern Echo, Edwards has no plans to send the Englishman out on loan again this season.
He said: “It’s not something we’ve spoken about at the moment because we feel like we can help him internally here, with his training and everything.
“Let’s see how that goes. It’s not something he or I have spoken about as yet.”

Middlesbrough player should give Micah Hamilton hope
Middlesbrough faced Swansea City in their opening-weekend Championship fixture on Saturday.
Hamilton was not involved in the 1-0 victory, but one former fringe player did start and impressed.
Middlesbrough fans praised Sammy Silvera heavily for his performance against the Welsh club.
Silvera endured a difficult 2024/25 season, like Hamilton, who should be hoping he can also break back into the team under a new manager.
