For clubs across England, the transfer window is now shut, and for Sheffield Wednesday it brings an end to a nightmare few months.
While their off-field issues still persist, they know for now that the core of their squad remains as we head into the first international break of the season.
The EFL blocked a move for Jaden Heskey from Manchester City, and there were huge fears that the South Yorkshire outfit were not going to complete any signings this summer bar Ethan Horvath.
Nevertheless, following the deadline, Sheffield Wednesday took to social media to announce to their fans the arrival of an exciting new face.
Sheffield Wednesday complete the signing of Man United’s Harry Amass
Harry Amass had been undergoing a medical with the Owls ahead of a move to Hillsborough from Manchester United, and the club have now confirmed his arrival.

The 18-year-old has joined on a season-long loan from the Premier League side, and he will help add depth to the left-back position.
Due to the way the EFL have to ratify any deals that Sheffield Wednesday wanted to complete this summer, the deal does have a break clause, meaning that the loan will technically conclude on 5 January, as per The Star.
However, it seems likely, given the fact that Man United announced it as a loan for the entire campaign, that he will spend the entirety of 2025/26 in S6.

A positive end to a tough summer at Hillsborough
There’s no denying that this has been arguably the toughest summer in the history of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.
Yet, fans finally have that one thing to cheer and Amass has the chance to quickly become a popular figure in S6 as he starts to show off his talents to the Hillsborough faithful.

Of course, the full-back lacks experience. However, having come from Manchester United, it must be said that he will operate in a slightly different way to the youngsters coming through at Sheffield Wednesday.
Amass has time to get adjusted to life as an Owl, and over the next few weeks, his task will be to prove to Henrik Pedersen why he deserves to play in the left wing-back role.
