Millwall are looking to build on their campaign from last season, as they almost reached the play-offs in the Championship.

Alex Neil will fully believe that he can lead them to that position this season, with many viewing them as dark horses to achieve promotion, and they have appeared assured this campaign in their opening three fixtures.

However, with the loss of Japhet Tanganga to Sheffield United, this task may become harder despite the fact they have already identified a replacement from West Brom for the defender.

Now Millwall will have to contend with losing another player, as a late bid has been launched for one of their stars, who would have been seen as vital to them achieving promotion this season.

Parma launch £6 million bid for Mihailo Ivanovic

As reported by Alan Nixon on his Patreon, he has reported that Parma have made a £6 million bid for Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic.

It is believed that the Italian side are hoping that the offer of top-flight football can tempt the youthful forward to leave Millwall and join Parma.

There is a belief that Millwall are hoping for a bigger offer for the striker before sanctioning any sort of move, as they view him as a key player.

It is being reported that other interested clubs are monitoring the situation closely to see if the bid is accepted before making their moves for Mihailo Ivanovic.

Alex Neil is a huge fan of Mihailo Ivanovic

It is no secret that Alex Neil is a huge fan of Mihailo Ivanovic, having leaned on the 20-year-old striker in all three opening Championship games this campaign.

He believes he could be a top talent in world football in the future, while thinking he is already well on his way to being one of the best strikers in the Championship.

As reported by the National Scot, Neil said: “Any 20-year-old that leads the line in the Championship and can get nearly [10 goals], and he’ll get double figures before the end of the season.

“If you do that, that’s an unbelievable season, and it won’t be surprising me if people start talking about him.

“I’ve already seen something the other day talking about the top 10 young talents in Europe – he’s one of them.

“He’s 20 years of age; there are very few strikers at that age that will lead the line at this level and also score goals, so he deserves all the plaudits he gets.”
