The exodus at Sheffield Wednesday shows no signs of slowing down, with yet another first-team player now being lined up for a move away.
It’s safe to say Sheffield Wednesday is a club in chaos right now. Wages are going unpaid, the Owls can’t sign anyone, and it looks like Danny Rohl will be let go before the season starts.
Already in the last couple of weeks, the Owls have sold Anthony Musaba and Djeidi Gassama, well below market value, we should add.
Both Josh Windass and Michael Smith also terminated their contracts, leaving the Wednesday squad down to the bare bones with weeks to go until the season begins.

Yan Valery is a wanted man
As per a report from The Star on Tuesday, Yan Valery is the latest Owls star to be linked with a move away from S6.
It is said that ‘several clubs’ are keeping an eye on the Tunisia international, and contact has already been made regarding his availability.
Wednesday signed Valery for a fee in the region of £400,000 last summer, but the 26-year-old may well be on the move already.
No clubs have been named just yet, but it is thought European sides are keen, while Valery himself would be happy to stay in England.

Danny Rohl and Yan Valery worked together previously
While Rohl’s future is up in the air, the idea of the German coach moving on may well influence Valery’s decision on his own position at Hillsborough.
The pair worked together previously, when Rohl was assistant manager at Southampton. Valery commented on that connection last season, saying: “I am really happy to be working with him again because, at Southampton, he left at a moment when as players we didn’t really want him to leave.
“Being back with him and him having all this knowledge, for me and for my progression it can only be good… I enjoy working with him, I am learning every week.”
Sounds to us like Valery would be pretty disappointed if Rohl were to leave. Whether Wednesday can afford to lose yet another established first-team player, though, is another matter.
