It’s all change at Vicarage Road this summer with a new manager already in place yet again. And, the Hornets are wasting no time in the market, either, so we’ve detailed every confirmed Watford transfer so far.

Tom Cleverley paid the ultimate price at the end of the season, losing his job as Watford manager after failing to make the Championship play-offs.

In his place, they snared Paulo Pezzolano from Spanish outfit Real Valladolid. Given Watford’s record with managers, fans are not optimistic about Pezzolano’s chances of lasting the whole season.

Still, Watford have made a strong start in the summer transfer window, and they’ve even got us predicting they may achieve a play-off finish in 2025/26.

Every confirmed Watford transfer this summer

Wasting no time, there are already two players we have on our list of every confirmed Watford transfer this summer.

The first is Hector Kyprianou, who has fans very excited after his impressive displays at Peterborough United down in League One. The best part is, he didn’t cost Watford a penny.

Then, Watford brought in another free agent with the arrival of Nathan Baxter from Bolton Wanderers. The goalkeeper will officially join on July 1st when his contract with the Trotters expires, and is likely to push Daniel Bachmann for the number one shirt at Vicarage Road.

Confirmed Watford exits

So far, Watford have only set one player for release this summer, with veteran Angelo Ogbonna ready to depart on a free at the end of this month.

However, we would expect a few other players to head out the door as the window ticks on. Paulo Pezzolano will want to put his own stamp on the squad, and Giorgi Chakvetadze, one of the best players in the Championship, will be a wanted man, too.

The latest Watford transfer rumours

While we wait for the next confirmed Watford transfer, there are rumours we can dive into to discern who might be coming through the door.

A couple of months ago, Watford were linked with Josh Mulligan. The Scottish starlet is wanted by a number of Championship clubs, though, so expect to see a battle for the Dundee ace.

Watford are likely to need another new defender at some point to replace Ogbonna, too. And, if Chakvetadze does depart, they’ll need attacking reinforcements.
