Watford have been busy in the summer transfer window and they are not showing any signs of slowing down.
EFL fans were shocked when Tom Cleverley was sacked in May, and Hornets supporters were not impressed with his replacement as Paulo Pezzolano took over the reins at Vicarage Road.
Nevertheless, with Hector Kyprianou already signed for the new season, it is clear to see that those behind the scenes are working hard to get the team ready for the Championship in 2025/26 after a disappointing end to the last campaign.
Now, Watford are set to announce another new signing ahead of their first pre-season games.

Watford win the race for Vivaldo Semedo
As per information from Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis understands that Watford have completed a deal for Udinese striker Vivaldo Semedo.

We can confirm Semedo has arrived on a permanent deal from The Hornets’ Italian sister club on a five-year deal and the Championship club are now due to confirm his signing.
We can also confirm that Watford held off interest from a number of clubs to land the Portuguese youth international.
The 20-year-old spent last season on-loan at Portuguese club Vizela and impressed with nine goals. We understand that Middlesbrough and Birmingham also showed an interest.

The Hornets had the upper hand in the deal
While Birmingham City do have their own pull after a record-breaking League One campaign for Blues, trying to beat Watford to a player from Udinese is difficult.
The Hornets have ties to the Italian outfit through their owners and deals are often done between the two clubs as the Hertfordshire side look to end three years without Premier League football.

Bringing in a striker is crucial if they are to make a push up the table in 2025/26. While there is a lot of work to do, at just 20, Semedo has a huge amount of potential and he has the chance to develop at Vicarage Road. However, with Imran Louza likely to depart, more stars are still needed.
