EFL Analysis understands that Sheffield United remain open to the idea of signing Kyle Walker from Manchester City this summer.
Sheffield United are expected to have a busy summer as they once again eye promotion to the Premier League.
There has been a suggestion that Chris Wilder could leave the club this summer after he voiced his concerns to the owners about their summer plans.
Meanwhile, Ryan One could depart Sheffield United, with Liverpool holding a long-time interest in the rising star.
In terms of incomings at Bramall Lane, we have an update on the Blades’ interest in former player Kyle Walker.

Sheffield United stance on Kyle Walker transfer
As per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis can confirm that Sheffield United remain open to the prospect of bringing club legend Kyle Walker back to the club – although their failure to earn promotion will hamper their attempts.
35-year-old Walker is back with Manchester City following his loan stint with AC Milan last season.
Walker has one year left on his sizeable contract at City, making a bid from Sheff United difficult, unless City were willing to sanction a pay-off or loan with a sizeable contribution – something the Blades hope is the case.
However, we can confirm there is major interest from elsewhere – including Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
Much will depend on Walker’s own desire – if it is to return to Sheffield – then a move back to Bramall Lane could be possible.

What Kyle Walker has said about returning to Sheffield United
Walker began his senior career with Sheffield United before securing a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur in 2009.
The right-back has commented on a return previously, saying back in 2024, as per BBC Radio 5 Live Sport, that he’d like to finish his career with the Yorkshire outfit.
He said: “That would be the icing on the cake for me [finishing his career at Sheffield United]. I wouldn’t even mind if I didn’t play. Just to be there and pass on the knowledge that I have, the games that I played in and to help other people.
“I’d like to put on the shirt and run out onto the pitch, of course I would.”
