Wycombe Wanderers are looking to boost their attacking options and EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal the Chairboys have been offered a free agent with League One experience.
The Buckinghamshire side sold striker Richard Kone to Queens Park Rangers this summer for a deal worth £5 million. The 22-year-old bagged 25 goals in 74 appearances at Adams Park before earning his move to the Championship, and despite a dip in form at the end of last season, he will be a huge miss for Mike Dodds.
Daniel Udoh has started up top in his absence. Wycombe have recruited James Tilley, Jamie Mullins, Caolan Boyd-Munce, Dan Casey and Bradley Fink, but they could still do with an experienced striker. Wycombe have already had two bids rejected for Millwall’s Aidomo Emakhu this summer.
Now, EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal Wycombe have the chance to sign a former League One rival to help replace Kone, and he wouldn’t cost them a penny.

Exclusive: Former Charlton striker Chuks Aneke offered to Wycombe
EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal the Chairboys have been offered former Charlton striker Chuks Aneke this summer.
The ex-Arsenal star has been without a club since being released by Wycombe’s recent promotion rivals, with the Addicks’ 1-0 win over Leyton Orient in the League One play-off final being his last game.
News on the 32-year-old’s next step has been quiet since his departure from The Valley.
Injuries had marred Aneke’s career of late, with him missing 16 league games alone last season. This led him to being limited to appearances off the bench when he was fit.
Still, he was often a key player for Charlton, coming on to score vital goals on numerous occasions and bullying tiring opponents with charges into the box. He made 138 appearances for the south Londoners across two spells, with half a season at Birmingham in between.
He scored 27 goals for the Addicks and grabbed 14 assists in total after joining from Milton Keynes Dons on a free transfer in 2019. Although injury prone, when fit he would be a fantastic option for the Chairboys.
Chuks Aneke’s last trip to Wycombe saw him earn straight red card
Wycombe fans won’t have forgotten the London-born forward being sent straight off at the end of Charlton’s 4-0 demolition of the Chairboys in April.
The ex-Stevenage loanee was given a red card in the third minute of added time of the second half after being deemed to barge into Wycombe’s Luke Leahy.
The Addicks appealed against the decision, but failed to get their star’s three-game ban overturned.

Aneke ended up missing the first leg of the play-offs at Wycombe as a result, although he did come on to celebrate Matty Godden’s winning goal in the 81st minute in the second leg at The Valley.
It would make for a funny reunion with Leahy if Wycombe did sign him.
