West Brom and Wrexham had contrasting starts to their respective Championship seasons.
Wrexham kicked off their life in the Championship with a dramatic loss to Southampton, with Jack Stephens scoring an injury-time winner to snatch the 2-1 victory.
Meanwhile, West Brom began their campaign under new manager Ryan Mason with a comfortable 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at the Hawthorns.
The Baggies will look to continue their perfect start to the Championship season with another win as they look to challenge for promotion.
Wrexham will look to get a swift win in their first campaign in the second tier for 43 years to ease them into the division and allow them to quickly find form to build on their three consecutive promotions.
However, the match between West Brom and Wrexham will be historic, 95 years on from their last clash.

West Brom and Wrexham to face each other for the first time ever in the league
The match on Saturday will be the first ever match between West Brom and Wrexham in the EFL.
West Brom and Wrexham have only ever faced each other once in their history, with this coming in 1930 in the FA Cup.
Wrexham would come out on top in this match 95 years ago, as the Red Dragons won 1-0 away in Wales.
There could be an argument that they have faced each other a second time; however, it was only in an invitational competition called the Watney Cup in 1971.

West Brom won this fixture in this competition that only lasted for four seasons, with winners including Derby County, Colchester United, Bristol Rovers and Stoke City.
A win for either club will be a historic one, with either Phil Parkinson’s men or Ryan Mason’s side going down in the record books for securing that first-ever league victory between the teams.

Wrexham’s victory in 1930 over West Brom
There is not a lot of information on the game from January 11, 1930, apart from those involved in the match, the scorer and the result.
Wrexham would score the only goal of the game in the first half through Albert Mayes on the half-hour mark.
This would be enough to see Jack Baynes’ Wrexham secure victory over West Brom, who were managed by Fred Everiss.

Wrexham’s FA Cup journey would come to an end in the next round when they lost to Bradford City after a replay.
While the 1929/30 FA Cup was disappointing for West Brom, it clearly spurred them on for the next season, as they would go on to lift the trophy in 1931 after beating Birmingham City in the final, which was their third title.
West Brom would lift the FA Cup on two more occasions, while Wrexham have never lifted the competition.
