Coventry City drew 0-0 against Leicester City in the M69 derby as the two regional rivals face each other for the first time in two seasons.
Coventry’s winless run at the King Power Stadium continued with the goalless stalemate, with both sides failing to put away their chances.
Before the game, stats pointed towards a Leicester win against Coventry, and Marti Cifuentes’ side dominated possession (59%) throughout the affair.

Carl Rushworth shone for Coventry City vs Leicester City
Coventry signed Carl Rushworth on loan from top flight Brighton for the 2025/26 season, and he enjoyed his best outing in a Sky Blues jersey in the derby draw against Leicester.
Rushworth made a staggering total of nine saves, with one of his finest stops coming at point-blank range from Foxes forward Stephy Mavididi.
The Brighton loanee’s handling, distribution and shot-stopping earned him the player-of-the-match award against Leicester.

Rushworth had conceded three goals in his last two appearances in the draws against Oxford United and Norwich City, but he was back to his best against the Foxes.
Coventry had failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five matches before the Leicester clash, but Rushworth was on hand to notch his first clean sheet since the opening day stalemate against Hull City.
