During Leicester City’s contest with Birmingham City, Foxes fans made their true feelings towards Director of Football Jon Rudkin clear with a chant that rang around the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City notched a fantastic win against Birmingham City as Marti Cifuentes’ side go into the first international break with a brilliant home performance against a potential promotion candidate.
There was much to shout about for Leicester City, with Abdul Fatawu bagging yet another goal for the Foxes, whilst Ricardo Pereira sealed the win with a coolly slotted effort past Ryan Allsop.
As the Foxes confirm a win on home soil to make it three victories in four games, there were still murmurs of discontent circling around the ground.
Jon Rudkin, the Leicester City Director of Football, was present at the game, and a large section of Foxes fans voiced their feelings about the unpopular figure.

What Leicester City fans were caught chanting towards Director of Football Jon Rudkin
During Leicester City’s victory at the King Power Stadium against newly-promoted Birmingham City, a section of the crowd sprang into song as they showed what they thought about Director of Football Jon Rudkin.
At one stage of the game, the Leicester City fans were caught singing: “I don’t care about Rudkin, he don’t care about me, all I care about is LCFC.”
A number of Leicester City fans believe that the club’s recent struggles are down to Jon Rudkin, whether it is down to the failed appointments of both Steve Cooper and Ruud Van Nistelrooy which derailed the prospects of a positive Premier League campaign, or various questions on recruitment.
Rudkin also faced criticism in the build-up of the 2025/26 Championship season because of the time it took to make a decision on Van Nistelrooy following the club’s drop from the Premier League.

Bright Foxes start may take the flak off Jon Rudkin
When things have been going poorly for Leicester City, notably last season, much of the blame has been placed on Jon Rudkin’s shoulders.
Fortunately, there has been an upturn in results for the Foxes, barring the outlying defeat against Preston North End.
Of all those involved at Leicester City, Rudkin will be glad that the team have got off to a successful start to the season in order to take some pressure off his shoulders ahead of deadline day.
Leicester City face plenty of pressure to respond following the unsatisfactory 2024/25 campaign, and whilst we are yet to see a vintage Foxes performance, the win against Birmingham City showed that Marti Cifuentes has got his side ticking.
