Stoke City suffered their first defeat of the Championship season as West Brom emerged as 1-0 victors in their Saturday afternoon fixture.
Mark Robins will not be pleased that Stoke City were not able to achieve a 27-year record, as the loss meant they could not win four opening games in a row for the first time since 1998.
Fans let their feelings be known on social media about the mistake made for the goal that cost them the chance to pick up a point, while also allowing West Brom to climb above them in the table.
Ryan Mason will be pleased that his West Brom were able to maintain their unbeaten run in the Championship season, as they aim to make a promotion push under the youthful coach.

Mark Robins was furious in his post-match press conference
While Mark Robins will have been pleased ahead of the match as Stoke City paraded their new signing around the ground, Tomas Rigo explained why he chose to join the Potters.
He has made his frustration about a refereeing decision known in the post-match press conference, as their 100% record falls.

He said: “We did have some really decent opportunities. There was a penalty shout that looked for all the world like a penalty and a sending off. We didn’t get that; that’s the game.
“I’ve not seen it back. It looked like a penalty from where I was on the touchline, and my staff are telling me it was a penalty, and they’ve had a chance to look at it. It looked like handball, and the guy dived across the goal, but they say it hit his chest. That’ll be interesting to see, but it’ll only serve to annoy me even more.”
Mark Robins on the positives of Stoke City
While the Stoke City manager was frustrated by the result and annoyed by the referee’s decision not to award a penalty, he believed there were some positives.
Mark Robins spoke about the positives with the club media team at Stoke City, as he looks to plan for the rest of the season after the international break.
He said: “What I would say is that we look miles better than we did last season. So that in itself is really positive.
“We’ve got time to work on things, and in defeat and in these circumstances in every game, hopefully you find things that you can work on that’s going to make you better.”
