Sheffield Wednesday want to continue their little upturn in form when they make the trip to the West Midlands to play against Birmingham City.

The Owls drew with QPR in a game that left Henrik Pedersen ruing Wednesday’s wastefulness in front of goal.

As for Birmingham, some fans are beginning to turn on Chris Davies after being hammered 3-0 by Coventry City.

Wednesday will know that they won’t be favourites for the game, but they have extra incentive to come back to Hillsborough with three points.

Sheffield Wednesday could secure back-to-back wins against Birmingham

After one year with Birmingham in League One and Wednesday in the Championship, the two will meet again.

Their last meeting came on 9 February 2024, where the Owls emerged as 2-0 winners against the Blues.

As per the BBC, if they can repeat that feat again, it would be the first time since February 2016 that they have secured back-to-back wins against Birmingham.

Three points in the second city could also be enough to pull Pedersen’s side out of the bottom three.

Chris Davies must end Birmingham City’s struggles

After following up their win against Portsmouth with a draw against QPR, the Yorkshire club are finally building some momentum.

On the contrary, Birmingham are struggling and have lost three of their last four games in the Championship.

Demands are high at Birmingham and the likes of Tom Brady and Tom Wagner will not settle for anything other than the best.

Birmingham will be the favourites for the game, and only three points will do.
