West Brom must avoid complacency as impressive Leicester City stat emerges

West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City kick off this weekend’s round of Championship fixtures.

Leicester have not lost at the Hawthorns in 15 years and will back themselves to come away with the three points once again.

Ryan Mason’s side have lost both games since returning from the international break, but they have still had a positive start to the season.

Opta have claimed the Baggies will win on Friday night and if they are to finally end their Hawthorns hoodoo against the Foxes, they will have to be wary of one key stat.

Foxes never quit

Marti Cifuentes’ side have only lost one game this season, a 2-1 defeat away at Preston North End, but have had their resolve tested.

The motto at the club is ‘Foxes never quit’ and their record this season has proven that is true.

According to the BBC Sport stats pack, no side has won more points from losing positions (four) than Leicester.

Those points were picked up when Leicester beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 and when they fought back twice to draw 2-2 against Oxford United.

Marti Cifuentes’ terrible record against West Brom

Cifuentes was snubbed by West Brom for the managerial job in favour of appointing Mason and one thing that may have played a factor is his previous struggles against the Baggies.

The Catalonian has never beaten the Albion in the three games he has faced them in while in charge of Queens Park Rangers.

Wins – 0
Draws – 1
Losses – 2

Last season, West Brom did the double over Cifuentes and he will be hoping that it is fourth time lucky.
