Birmingham City and Chris Davies are set to make a return to the Championship, opening the new campaign against Ipswich Town.
Blues fans will be hopeful their team can carry on their form from last season that saw them achieve a record points tally in League One.
Birmingham have added to their squad, bringing in several impressive signings, including Tommy Doyle on loan from Wolves.
While they have strengthened their defence with the signing of Eiran Cashin from Brighton and Hove Albion.

However, the club have had to bid farewell to several faces too, as Alfie May left the club for Huddersfield Town.
Now the latest announcement by Birmingham City has seemingly decided the future of another one of their players.
Tyler Roberts does not appear to be part of Birmingham City’s plans
Birmingham City announced their squad numbers ahead of the 2025/26 Championship season, and Tyler Roberts’ previous number had been reassigned.
Roberts was not the only player to suffer this fate in the Birmingham City squad, as Dion Sanderson also saw his number given to another player.
Sanderson soon moved onto Derby County to be reunited with John Eustace for the fourth time in his career, seemingly showing Roberts where his future lies.

Roberts did not feature for the club last season, as he was loaned out to Northampton Town for their campaign, making a total of 29 appearances.
This latest action has seemingly put the writing on the wall for Roberts that his future is no longer with Birmingham City as they aim to return to the Premier League after they were relegated in 2011.

Chris Davies confirmed Roberts is not part of his plans
While it may have been presumed that following his loan move to Northampton Town and the acquisition of some striking options that Roberts would not be part of Davies’ plans this campaign, there will always be a doubt until fully confirmed.
The actions by the club seem to have done this, while Davies’ comments earlier in pre-season also seemed to indicate that while he was being given an opportunity when they faced Solihull Moors, it may have passed by him.
Chris Davies spoke to Birmingham Live about Roberts, as he said: “He’s injured. It’s only a small injury. He’s been training well actually, looking strong, and he was due to play, but he picked up a slight injury. He won’t be long.”
