Blackburn Rovers have been busy in the transfer market this summer as they appear to be going through a season of transition for the squad.
The club finally got their first win of the season in the Championship, having lost the opening three fixtures of the campaign in both the Carabao Cup and the second tier.
It was a convincing win away to Hull City, with Valerien Ismael’s side being inspired by their new captain, Todd Cantwell.
The Blackburn manager has made his thoughts clear on the decision to give the responsibility to the 27-year-old, as Lewis Travis heads towards a move to Derby County.
Now Ismael has once again been open about the situation surrounding Travis, as he has explained exactly what he thinks of the transfer to Derby.

Valerien Ismael believes Lewis Travis ‘let everyone down’
Blackburn Rovers and Derby County had agreed a deal for Travis at the weekend, with fans just waiting for the Rams to announce the capture of the former captain at Ewood Park.
Travis had been a mainstay in the Rovers team for several seasons and led by example on the pitch, so his desire to leave Blackburn had been an initial shock for both the club and fans.
As reported in the Lancashire Telegraph, Ismael had made it clear what he thinks of Travis’ decision to leave.

He said: “After Lewis Travis let down everyone in the last couple of weeks, we needed to adjust to manage the situation.
“There’s some negotiation ongoing, and we will see what the next week will bring.”

Transfer signings were confirmed to be on the way
Valerien Ismael confirmed after the Hull City victory that the club would be busy in the transfer market before it shuts on September 1.
Blackburn confirmed they had signed Travis’ replacement before the trip to Yorkshire at the weekend, as they announced the addition of Moussa Baradji to the squad.
Rovers have since announced the signing of Ryoya Morishita, who has made his ambition with the club clear in his first words.

There are more signings expected, as they have been linked to several names to help their attack and defence, as Ismael confirmed to the Lancashire Telegraph.
He said: “I’m expecting incomings and outgoings; it will be both ways. We say if someone is leaving, we want to replace. We know that in an attacking line, we need to do something.
“So you see, it will be at least two positions, one for sure and another one if someone is leaving. We want to replace, to stay competitive, and at the minute, we’re good.”
