Blackburn Rovers look to be busy right up to the end of the transfer window, as they are keen to add several faces to cover the players set to leave the club.
The club got off to the worst start possible as they lost their first three games of their campaign as they were eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Bradford City and suffered defeats to West Brom and Birmingham City.
Valerien Ismael and Blackburn will be incredibly disappointed with how they lost their latest match, as Birmingham City scored twice in additional time to win 2-1 at Ewood Park.
Blackburn have been busy in the transfer market with players incoming and outgoing, as their captain Lewis Travis looks set to be on his way to Derby County after a month-long saga, while they confirmed his replacement.
However, the club and Valerien Ismael confirmed they are set to lose other stars before the end of the window.
Blackburn Rovers are set to lose John Buckley and Aynsley Pears
Valerien Ismael confirmed that the club are looking to see both John Buckley and Aynsley Pears leave Ewood Park before the end of the transfer window, as reported in the Lancashire Telegraph.
There has been speculation about interest from Saudi Arabia in John Buckley, though suitors for Pears have been less public.
Ismael did not dismiss the rumours around either player and admitted things could move quickly in the final 10 days of the window.

He said: “Yes, at the minute, as I say, we have a lot of talk ongoing behind the scenes; you can imagine, in and out going.
“But there’s nothing concrete and official now to say, so at the minute we can’t announce anything. So let’s see how the thing goes.
“But as you know, the thing may happen quickly and now, especially when you know that you still have one week, a little bit more than one week, until the end of the transfer window.”

Blackburn Rovers have a new captain
Valerien Ismael confirmed that Todd Cantwell would be the new Blackburn Rovers captain heading forward, as Lewis Travis is set to leave the club for Derby County.
The Rovers manager confirmed this decision as news broke about an offer being accepted for Travis from Derby County.
Ismael believes that Cantwell is the best option, not only for his ability on the pitch but also for what he brings to the club off it and how he inspires and brings his teammates together.
