Derby County had several poor performers as they lost out to Luton Town.
Derby County suffered defeat to fellow Championship relegation-threatened Luton Town at Pride Park.
The first half in the clash, from Derby County’s perspective, saw an incredibly poor display, with Luton Town showing much more spirit and fight, getting to second balls and providing more strength in challenges – a sight that has certainly been rare for John Eustace’s side as of recent.
The opener was bagged by Millenic Alli with a goal that really showcased a poorly set-up Rams side that should have been much more switched on to deal with the threat, with Sondre Langas notably struggling to stick tight to Mark McGuinness at the back post.
As for the second stanza, it was still a tale of Luton being resolute, although Eustace’s side grew into the game by fashioning several chances of note. Unfortunately for the Rams, despite their onslaught of pressure, they were unable to score to level the game.

Josh Vickers
Somewhat lacklustre and inconsistent with his distribution. Conceded early on, but was certainly not solely at fault for the goal. 6/10
Sondre Langas
Lost his marker at the back post for Luton Town’s opener. Had little else to do, particularly in the second half, due to the visitors’ lack of chances. 5/10
Matt Clarke
Looked more composed and assured in the defensive role than his teammates. 6/10
Nat Phillips
Lacked the aerial dominance needed against a physical Luton Town outfit. Little to do in the second half, just like his teammates. 5/10

Kane Wilson
Often struggled to deal with the flair and threat of Luton Town winger Alli. Rarely saw success when working down the flank alongside Marcus Harness. 4/10
Craig Forsyth
Did little of note, and whilst he never found himself in difficulty on the defensive side, he lacked intent on the attacking front. 5/10
Ebou Adams
He was rather indirect with his passing and created very little from the centre of the park. Defensively solid as usual, but not too much else. 5/10
Harrison Armstrong
Struggled to get into the game early on, with the midfielder being a passenger for much of the first half. 5/10

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing
Had very little time to make an impact on the game after being the subject of an injury-enforced substitution early on. 5/10
Marcus Harness
Sub-par delivery from corners. Somehow couldn’t head it past the goalkeeper from three yards out in what would have been a crucial goal for the Rams. 4/10

Jerry Yates
It was a struggle for the Derby County ranks to find Jerry Yates, who played an incredibly limited role in the first half. Somehow didn’t bring Derby level after striking it straight at Thomas Kaminski when through on goal. 3/10
Kayden Jackson
Replaced Nathaniel Mendez-Laing after his injury. Often dispossessed in the final third. Never really seemed to offer Eustace’s side much of a threat, a true reflection of how disappointing he has been recently. 3/10
Kenzo Goudmijn
Didn’t offer too much of an impact during his 15-minute cameo. 5/10
