The season is over for Leeds United and it ended in the best possible way for the Whites with the Championship title clinched on the final day.
After a thrilling, rollercoaster ride of a season, Leeds United and Burnley traded places at the top of the Championship table in recent weeks and indeed right down to the wire on the final day, too.
In the end, an injury-time winner from Manor Solomon against Plymouth Argyle sealed the title for Leeds, and they now have Premier League football to look forward to next season.
However, there’s still plenty to resolve over the summer for Leeds United, with players set to leave, new ones to arrive, and Daniel Farke’s future in the balance, too.

What Junior Firpo just said to Leeds United fans
Fans are still not sure whether they will see Junior Firpo turning out for Leeds next season, but his latest activity on social media has certainly got them talking.
The official Leeds United Twitter/X account posted a photo of Firpo with the Championship trophy after the game against Plymouth Argyle, alongside the caption: “He went to Barca, he won a cup in Spain. He came to Leeds and did the same again.”
Firpo replied to the post, and said: “I just can’t tell you how much I love you.”
Naturally, such an emotionally-charged and positive message has given fans hope that Firpo, whose current contract expires next month, will be sticking around.
One Leeds fan replied to the post, writing, “Sign and stay, be part of the new journey, you can always visit Spain on Holiday,” while another added, “Sign. The. Contract.”
Firpo didn’t play against Plymouth, prompting one supporter to comment, “Please stay… obvious how much you were missed today.”
Others were less optimistic and believed this could have been Firpo’s way of bidding Leeds farewell, with one fan writing: “We love you mate! What a beautiful end to your Leeds career if that’s what it is.”
Another added: “No matter what comes next for you, you have fully redeemed yourself and leave with all our thanks.”

Junior Firpo’s future is up in the air
Firpo has been one of the best players in the Championship this season for Leeds, and certainly the best left-back of the season.
He racked up four goals and a massive ten assists this term to help Leeds to promotion and ultimately, the title.
| Statistics | Junior Firpo 2024/25 |
| Games | 35 |
| Goals | 4 |
| Assists | 10 |
| Progressive carries per 90 | 2.27 |
| Pass completion % | 80.7 |
But, he is out of contract next month, and despite the best efforts of Largie Ramazani to persuade him to stay, there is still no sign of a new deal just yet.
You would think Leeds would be desperate to tie Firpo down as they head for the top flight, and it looks like the player himself clearly loves being at Elland Road. But, sometimes, that’s not enough, and he may well fancy a new adventure elsewhere.
