Middlesbrough’s 2024/25 season is drawing to a close and with it, likely means the exit of at least one player.
The Championship final day will see Middlesbrough face Coventry City at the CBS Arena.
Both sides go into the clash knowing that victory could see them secure a place in the play-offs in the coming weeks.
Coventry are predicted to beat Middlesbrough, which would see the Teessiders suffer their lowest league finish of the Michael Carrick era.
Carrick’s future at Boro has already been called into question this season, and failure to make the top-six could result in his departure.
As well as the Middlesbrough manager, one more player could be out the door in the coming months.

Hayden Hackney outperforming everyone in Europe
That man is Hayden Hackney, with EFL Analysis learning earlier this year that Hackney will likely leave Middlesbrough if they don’t make it into the play-offs.
It will be a sad day when the local lad, who has just been named Boro’s Player of the Year, departs.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed this week that the Englishman is currently outperforming every single player across Europe in one statistic.
As was first shared by Boropolis, Hackney has played more progressive passes (433) than any other player in Europe this season.
Elsewhere, only Bayern Munich and Germany star Joshua Kimmich has more passes into the final third (397) than the Teessider (356).

Hayden Hackney transfer interest
Unsurprisingly, the England U21 international is thought to have plenty of suitors going into the summer.
We previously revealed that Crystal Palace are among the clubs looking at Hackney.
Elsewhere, Sky Sports have since reported this week that FC Porto could make another bid for the player.
Several Premier League sides and German outfit Stuttgart are also thought to hold an interest.
