A recent Middlesbrough arrival has been discussing his time at the club so far and meeting Steve Gibson.
Middlesbrough are spending another season in the Championship following their 10th-place finish in 2024/25.
Boro have been stuck in the second tier since 2017, and after another disappointing campaign, big changes are taking place at the Riverside Stadium this summer.
Hayden Hackney is expected to leave and has changed agents amid plenty of interest from clubs around Europe.
Meanwhile, after sacking Michael Carrick, Rob Edwards has been appointed as the new Boro manager, with the club’s backroom staff also reshuffled.

Adi Viveash on Middlesbrough goal and Steve Gibson
We revealed in June that former Coventry City coach Adi Viveash was joining Middlesbrough as part of Edwards’ coaching team.
Viveash has linked up with Harry Watling as well to help the new Boro boss in the 2025/26 season.
Now, the former Coventry man has been discussing a number of topics, as per the Northern Echo, including meeting Steve Gibson.
On meeting the Middlesbrough owner, he said: “It’s always a club I’ve admired. I’ve always admired the owner.
“He’s one of those people who you look at and think it would be great to meet him. I’ve met him and he’s exactly how I thought he’d be. Obviously he has a ruthless streak like everybody does who is that successful but he’s really honest and loves his club.”
On the ‘ultimate goal’ at Middlesbrough, Viveash added: “It’s a massive club and the challenge is being part of the staff and players to get Middlesbrough back to the Premier League. That’s the ultimate goal.”

Adi Viveash verdict on Middlesbrough squad
Middlesbrough have now made the trip to Portugal to get their 2025 pre-season underway.
After a brief period with the squad, Viveash has given his verdict on the current group of players.
He said: “There’s obviously some really talented technical players. There’s some real characters. It’s quite a diverse mix. Quite a young group overall. A lot of energy.
“I’ve been really pleased with what I’ve seen but obviously it’s early doors. Pre-season is all about building through the weeks.
“We have a great week now in Portugal, we hope to be further along than we were last Friday.
“If we are, that’s good, then we build towards all the friendlies coming. Before you know it we’ll be at Swansea and that’s what it’s all about.”
