The pressure has been ramped up on Hull City owner Acun Ilicali after he appointed his fifth different manager since joining the club in January 2022.
A decision was made to sack Ruben Selles in May after the Tigers narrowly avoided relegation to League One with a final-day draw against Portsmouth.
Selles has since been appointed the Sheffield United manager, to the surprise of many, while Hull City have hired Sergej Jakirovic following his spell at Kayserispor.
Jakirovic arrives at the MKM Stadium having never previously managed in England, with supporters hoping he can lift City up the Championship table in 2025/26.
EFL Analysis exclusively revealed that Hull can spend big again this summer. So, capturing a new left-back, right-back, winger, and striker are all on the agenda, with the Bosnian also boasting two secret weapons who will return this summer.

Mohamed Belloumi and Liam Millar can light up the Championship in 2025/26
Hull were the Championship’s lowest scorers in 2024/25. Joao Pedro, who looks set to leave the club, was their top scorer with six, while Leeds United loanee Joe Gelhardt was second on the list with five despite joining the club in January.
The Tigers have been linked with striker Oli McBurnie as they attempted to fix their goalscoring troubles, though the return of wingers Mohamed Belloumi and Liam Millar will help with that problem.
Belloumi has been out with an ACL injury suffered in the 1-0 defeat to Oxford United in November 2024, whereas Millar – who also injured his ACL – has been sidelined since the end of October.

Two lightning-quick and direct wingers, the duo contributed to seven of Hull City’s goals across 21 games combined, telling of their importance to the team.
With the Algerian on the right flank and the Canadian on the opposite side, City were a threat to most teams in the division as the pair utilised their devastating pace on the counterattack.
Hull lost a lot of their attacking threat once they were injured, with a lack of firepower at the top end of the pitch almost costing them their Championship status.
Their return ahead of the 2025/26 campaign will be game-changing for Jakirovic, who will have his technically gifted and threatening wide men available for selection.

When will Millar and Belloumi return for Hull City
As reported by Hull Live earlier in June, Millar and Belloumi are continuing to build up their fitness in preparation for their return to pre-season training next month after recovering from ACL injuries.
The Tigers duo were pictured together at a training camp as they continue their training schedule ahead of their arrival back in England later this month.
That means, all being well, Jakirovic will have Millar available for selection when City head to Turkey on July 13 to spend a week in Riva for the third consecutive season, whereas Belloumi is a couple of weeks behind the Canadian.
Hull then play Stockport County and Premier League newcomers Sunderland towards the end of July, and that is where the Tigers should hopefully see the devastating duo up close once more.
