Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri continues to be criticised, with Danny Rohl’s future in the dugout also cast into doubt.
The Owls return to action on Saturday, facing off with Hull City as they look to bounce back from a recent dip in form.
Danny Rohl has worked wonders with this group of player but it seems unlikely he will be remaining at the club beyond 2024/25.
Rohl has a £5m release clause in his Sheffield Wednesday contract and had previously been linked with Southampton.
Fans are no doubt keen to see the German remain at Hilsborough but at this stage, that is looking unlikely.
Rohl was linked with RB Leipzig earlier this week and one pundit has now suggested he’s ‘increasingly likely’ to leave.

Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri slammed
Since Dejphon Chansiri purchased the club all the way back in 2017, the Owls have gone from mess, to mess, to mess.
They were placed under a registration embargo in November 2024, a year on from the same issue arising.
More recently, Sheffield Wednesday didn’t pay wages of staff during the month of March, seeing Chansiri come in for heavy criticism.
EFL pundit Ryan Dilks is the latest of many to slam Wednesday’s owners, labelling the situation an ‘utter shambles’ when speaking on the Second Tier podcast this week.
“It’s just an utter shambles. It’s like Chansiri thinks to himself, ‘hmm I haven’t messed with the fans in a while, you know, the ones who spend hundreds of pounds a season supporting my club, let’s do something just to —- them off even further’.
“I just don’t get it but it once again raises questions about how financially sustainable Sheffield Wednesday as a club, and it’s a reminder that Sheffield Wednesday aren’t going anywhere while Chansiri runs this club.”

Danny Rohl ‘increasingly likely’ to leave Sheffield Wednesday
It’s clear that Chansiri’s mismanagement is going to have a lasting impact on the club, probably as early as the summer.
Rohl took Wednesday from a side just about avoiding relegation in 2023/24 to being in with a chance of securing a top-six finish this term.
Granted, that chance is now slim but their improvement in the space of 12 months has been so impressive.
However, Dilks added that he thinks ‘it’s increasingly likely that Danny Rohl will leave’ Sheffield Wednesday during his rant about the owner.
He continued: “I mean, there are a few Championship clubs who have a ceiling right now because of their owners and I’d say Wednesday are right at the top of that list, particularly because I think it’s increasingly likely that Danny Rohl will leave.
“The thing I don’t really understand is what is Chansiri getting out of owning Sheffield Wednesday because he’s apparently struggling to afford it, so how’s he benefiting?”
