Burnley can take a mammoth step to securing promotion back to the Premier League when they head to Watford on Good Friday.
Scott Parker’s men are currently locked on 88 points with Leeds United in the automatic promotion places while establishing a five-point lead on third place Sheffield United.
It would take an unbelievable slip-up for Burnley to surrender their position in the Championship table and a win over Watford on Friday can strengthen their grip on the top two.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |

Last time out, Burnley secured a 2-1 win over Norwich City as Parker praised Hannibal Mejbri for his ‘outstanding’ performance in attacking midfield.
The Clarets scored from both of their shots on target, displaying an efficiency that has put them on the brink of promotion, with a verdict now being offered on Parker.

David Prutton thinks Scott Parker deserves more credit
The excitement of winning promotion to the top flight has vanished in recent years as the gap between the Championship and Premier League is massive.
For the second year running, all three promoted clubs are making an instant return to the second tier, with Burnley predicted to struggle in the Premier League, should they see the job through.
But, despite a brutal verdict being given on their future prospects, former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder David Prutton believes Parker deserves more credit than he’s received this term.
Speaking on the Essential EFL podcast, via Sky Sports, Prutton said: “It’s bizarre that we are collectively a little surprised, I don’t think Scott [Parker] has got his due reverence for what he has done.
“It’s been a stinking week for Sheffield United, three defeats on the spin has well and truly put them on the back foot, but what Scott has done and how he’s gone about it.
“Yes, you talk about a former Premier League side, yes you look at the players he’s got but the defence has been wonderful, goalkeeper has been fantastic, and he’s added to it with regards to players in the attacking areas.
“He should rightly be discussed in conversation for Manager of the Year, absolutely. People think it’s straightforward for the team that has dropped down from the Premier League, but it’s not.”
With only four matches left, the Clarets have still only conceded 13 goals and remarkably, Burnley are close to setting a Football League record, achieving that if they avoid conceding more than one goal in a single game.
Also, Parker has been nominated for Manager of the Year alongside Daniel Farke and Chris Wilder, granting the wish of Prutton, who has issued his prediction for the clash.

Prutton issues Watford vs Burnley score prediction
When Burnley head to Vicarage Road on Friday, Parker’s men have a chance to open up an eight-point lead on Sheffield United with victory as they play in the evening kick-off against Cardiff City.
Goalkeeper James Trafford has kept a whopping 28 clean sheets this term and Prutton has tipped him to make it a 29th, predicting the Lancashire outfit to win 1-0.
“I’m going to go for Burnley to go there, not concede a goal and to score a goal to make it 1-0 to Burnley,” he said.
A win for Burnley against Watford would be massive in the automatic promotion race as it would put them one foot into the Premier League.
