Sheffield United began their Championship campaign with a 4-1 loss to Bristol City, with Ruben Selles holding a team talk with the players on the pitch after their result.
It would not have been the start that Selles would have hoped for, as Sheffield United are hoping to be among those clubs challenging for promotion.
There appears to be a lot of work that needs to be done in defence, with the Sheffield United player ratings demonstrating this as an area for improvement.

This will mean they need to go into the summer transfer market, with their options in defence looking light following Anel Ahmedhodzic’s move to Feyenoord.
However, there may be concern that one of their stars may be on the way out before the end of the transfer window.

Gustavo Hamer must remain at Sheffield United
Ahead of the match, the pundits in the Sky studio were discussing the future of Sheffield United star Gustavo Hamer and questioning how he has not been snapped up during the transfer window.
As the discussion progressed, Michael Brown quickly tried to dissuade potential buyers from taking the player from the Blades.
He said: “He has got to stay; stop even bringing it on.
“Sheffield United fans will be really concerned about this one. I just love him. We watched him so many times; we watched him live in the play-off games, didn’t we? And what he can do is just that special little touch.
“That would be one really psychologically on the team. When you’re in that dressing room, you’re looking and going, ‘Who is next to me?’ and that is the point; it would be a real positive.”
Teams interested in Hamer
It had previously been reported that Gustavo Hamer had been a target for Leeds United, with last season’s Championship title winners looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their Premier League campaign.
Another Premier League club who have been mentioned with regard to making an offer for the midfielder is Brentford, with the Londoners looking to replace a number of departees.

Meanwhile, there are said to be a couple of Dutch clubs interested in Hamer, with PSV being mentioned.
Another name has now been suggested by Sports Boom, Feyenoord, with reports suggesting he may depart to the Dutch side to reunite with his former Sheffield United colleague Anel Ahmedhodzic.
What is for certain is Sheffield United will have to look at keeping Hamer at the club, as he continued right where he left off from last season with his performance against Bristol City.
