Leicester City have nine days to solve huge transfer issue that could affect his World Cup spot

Now that the dust has settled, Leicester City will be relatively happy with their transfer window.

16 players left the building and four players came into the club as Marti Cifuentes managed to get the signings he wanted late on.

Jamie Vardy’s replacement was finally found as Julian Carranza signed on loan, along with Jordan James and Aaron Ramsey to add to the earlier signing of Asmir Begovic.

Plenty went out of the door, but there is still time to avoid the regret of not moving him on.

Leicester City should still look to sell Wout Faes

The transfer window may be closed in England and other leagues around the world, but some markets are still open for business.

Most notably, the Turkish Super Lig window still has nine days remaining before it closes on 12 September.

The most likely Leicester player to depart is Wout Faes, with the Belgian not fancied by much of the support.

Faes cupped his ears to fans after scoring the winner against Sheffield Wednesday but has started on the bench in every league game.

Turkish clubs have been interested in Faes previously, and getting a player on high wages who doesn’t really want to be at the King Power Stadium, out of the door.

One thing to take into consideration for players this season is that it is a World Cup year.

Players need to be playing regularly in order to be considered by their countries and after being left out of Belgium’s latest international squad, Rudi Garcia has made it clear that needs to leave before being considered for selection.

Garcia said: “He will have to change. We hope that he will play again for a good club and that he can apply for a future position with us.”

Will Faes leave before the windows around the world shut?
