Southampton are pushing for an instant return to the Premier League in 2025/26.
It was a massively disappointing year for the Saints last time out, and the Hampshire outfit nearly broke Derby County’s points record as they accrued just 12 over the course of their 38 games.
However, with Will Still now in charge there are hopes that the club can turn a corner and get back on track with a top two finish the target.
Damion Downs is a very exciting signing, but Tyler Dibling is the subject of Premier League interest. Nevertheless, after seemingly missing out on a target of their own, Southampton must turn their attention to a young Chelsea attacker.

Southampton must push for Tyrique George after Jesurun Rak-Sakyi
TBR Football have revealed that the Saints have been keen on bringing Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan this summer, but they are set to miss out on a deal with Scottish giants Rangers closing in on a deal.

The winger, who impressed with Sheffield United in 2024/25, has decided that a move to the Ibrox is the best for himself and this will be frustrating for Southampton.
However, they must now turn their attention to Chelsea, with the Club World Cup champions are looking to send Tyrique George out on loan before deadline day, after a breakthrough year at Stamford Bridge last season.
He scored three goals and registered five assists in 26 games for the senior team in the previous campaign, but he needs regular football if he is to fulfil his potential and Southampton can offer that.

Enzo Maresca is a huge fan of Tyrique George
George is a really exciting talent, and he was superb for Chelsea U21s last season before making the step up to the first team.
His manager, Enzo Maresca, has given high praise to the winger on several occasions, but perhaps none more so than after the Blues’ 1-0 win over Manchester United in May. He said (via: Football.London): “Very good. Very good. Brave.

“He was a threat in behind. It was not easy for him because on the other side you have Maguire, you have Lindelof, you have Shaw.
“He was fighting against important defenders. But again, we tried to find a solution with a player from the academy. Overall I think also he had the penalty moment, so he works quite good.”
