Hull City could potentially take advantage of Plymouth Argyle’s relegation in regards to recruitment if Miron Muslic is appointed.

With the 2024/25 Championship season over for Hull City, they have already made the bold call to relieve Ruben Selles of his duties at the club.

Despite keeping Hull City up on the final day of the campaign, Acun Ilicali was still unsatisfied with Selles’ performance, with the Tigers only claiming two wins in their last nine games of the season.

Several names have been touted as potential options for Ilicali to explore; Will Still has been named as a potential option for Hull City, whilst Miron Muslic is also being considered by the hierarchy.

If Hull City were to appoint Muslic, the Plymouth Argyle boss would certainly help bring a player or two from his relegated side, which could boost the Tigers’ options.

Hull City could look to sign Bali Mumba if Miron Muslic is appointed

First off, one player who Muslic could save from the relegated Plymouth side, if he was to join Hull City, could be Bali Mumba.

An integral part of Muslic’s set-up, Mumba is incredibly useful because of his versatility, being able to play on either flank with a defensive or offensive mindset.

Mumba was a stalwart for Plymouth this season, notching 37 starts in the campaign. The 23-year-old would offer plenty to this current Hull side, most particularly pace, something that has been so lacking in the squad.

Hull could solve goalscoring issues with Ryan Hardie

Hull City’s Achilles heel last season, and ultimately the reason why they survived the drop by just the skin of their teeth as opposed to being well clear, was their lack of threat in front of goal.

Ryan Hardie could be an ideal option to sign, if Muslic did arrive at Hull, due to the fact that he was able to notch a rather impressive 10 Championship goals, as well as three assists.

Before Muslic’s arrival, Hardie only bagged one goal and looked to be well below Championship quality, but Muslic rejuvenated his season, in which he went on to bag a further nine.

Darko Gyabi could provide a solid midfield option under Miron Muslic

Whilst midfield options on the surface for Hull City are decent, potential outgoings could spark the necessity for them to add to their ranks.

Gustavo Puerta could find himself exiting the MKM Stadium after attracting interest elsewhere, meaning that the likes of Darko Gyabi would be a brilliant option for the Tigers to sign.

The former Leeds United and Man City youngster started on 34 occasions for Plymouth Argyle this season, playing very well under Muslic in the centre of the park. Relocating to Yorkshire could also give Hull a boost if they were to pursue the signing of Gyabi as well.
