Hull City supporters are used to experiencing chaos during a transfer window orchestrated by Acun Ilicali, and this summer promises to be no different.
After narrowly surviving relegation from the Championship on the final day and sacking Ruben Selles, Hull City have hired Sergej Jakirovic as their new manager.
More importantly, the Tigers have made an encouraging start to the window with four new permanent signings, including Gustavo Puerta, Reda Lalaaoui, Dillon Phillips and Semi Ajayi.
Hull have also waved goodbye to multiple first-team players, notably Xavier Simons, who joined Bolton Wanderers permanently, while striker Joao Pedro had his contract terminated.
The exits aren’t going to stop there, though, as one forgotten City star is set to depart the MKM Stadium after just 10 months.

Anthony Racioppi is closing in on a move to FC Sion
Hull signed goalkeeper Anthony Racioppi from Young Boys after watching him impress in the Champions League.
The 26-year-old was captured to provide healthy competition for number one Ivor Pandur, but unfortunately, the Swiss shot-stopper’s only appearance came in a Carabao Cup appearance against Sheffield Wednesday.
Racioppi didn’t cover himself in glory on his debut as his horrendous error allowed Charlie McNeil to walk the ball into the empty net to secure Wednesday a 2-1 victory in August.
After failing to appear for Selles following his appointment in December, the goalkeeper was loaned out to FC Koln in January, and there, he only made one appearance as Martin Schwabe was preferred between the sticks.
Now, following a season to forget, Blick report that Racioppi is set to return to Switzerland with FC Sion after reaching an agreement with the Tigers. It is stated that his arrival is ‘imminent’ and only a few details are left to be sorted out.

Hull City have no plans to sell Ivor Pandur
Pandur was Hull City’s most influential player in 2024/25, despite them finishing fourth from bottom. The Croatian made countless top saves in big moments to earn his side invaluable points. Also, his impact was recognised by the club as he won the players’, managers’ and fans’ Player of the Year award.
Indeed, if it wasn’t for the 24-year-old, City could have suffered relegation to League One, and that is why they’re desperate to keep him.
According to Hull Live, the club have no plans to sell Pandur this summer, even though the talented gloveman is attracting interest from England and abroad.
It will be interesting to see if Ilicali holds firm with that stance if a big offer comes in but as it stands, he looks likely to stay.
